Motion To: WHEREAS the Causeway Work Centre is a registered charitable organization and operates a public bike share system called “Right Bike”; and WHEREAS Right Bike provides a training and employment program for individuals who are working to overcome barriers to employment, as well as delivers a community bike share program, a sustainable transportation alternative which complements existing transportation principles of the City of Ottawa as described in the Transportation Master Plan; and WHEREAS Right Bike was supported by the Neighbourhood Connection Office of Planning and Growth Management Department to expand its Bike Sharing operation into adjacent neighbourhoods from its base in Hintonburg/Wellington; and WHEREAS Right Bike has successfully expanded from 1 site in 2012 to 16 sites in 2014 across 5 neighbourhoods on various City-owned and private properties; and WHEREAS the Causeway Work Centre has applied to the City for approval to install six (6) public bike share system stations (the "St pop-out |
