Motion To: THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Transportation Committee ask the Chair of the Transit Commission to request that OC Transpo staff be asked to present the results of their on-going review all the suggestions for bus reductions along the Scott/Albert Detour route with the express goal of refining the routes to reduce bus numbers based on service demand as part of the Community Open Houses for the final detour design in June; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Transportation Committee recommend that Council approve the following supplementary measures to improve pedestrian and cycling safety along the Albert/Scott Street detour: 1. That the Rideau Transit Group be instructed to include a multi-use pathway along the south side of Albert between Bayview and the O-Train within the existing budget, and inform FEDCO and Council if there are any technical or financial reasons that would stop this from happening; and 2. That staff be directed to remove the bus lanes that are being used for the detour imme pop-out |
