Harder WHEREAS staff has made minor revisions to Report No. ACS2013-CMR-FIN-0020 (Treasurer’s Statement on Development Charges Reserve Funds for 2012), increasing the outstanding commitments for Public Transit to $65,522,252 from $18,133,852, adjusting the Unapplied Capital Project Funding / Debt Requirements for this particular service category to more accurately reflect current and future obligations in relation to transit-relatedcapital projects that will require development charge funding; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Planning Committee receive REVISED Pages 2 and 4 of the report (attached) for consideration at its meeting of 23 April 2013.

ITEM: SITE PLAN APPROVAL PILOT PROJECT FOR BUILDING CONVERSIONS IN CAPITAL WARD

Hume WHEREAS the City of Ottawa Zoning By-law No. 2008-250 permits the conversion of low-density residential buildings provided the building envelope complies with the regulations applicable to the original use; AND WHEREAS Site Plan Control approval is not required in the instance of such conversions; AND WHEREAS the conversion of existing residential buildings in the areas of Sandy Hill and Capital Ward to increase the number of dwelling units has resulted in developments that residents are concerned are not in keeping with the neighbourhood character; AND WHEREAS to address these challenges of building compatibility in Sandy Hill, the Site Plan Control By-law was amended in June 27, 2012 to require Site Plan approval for the conversion of one and two unit dwellings to three or more dwelling units as a three year pilot project; AND WHEREAS Report ACS2013-CMR-PLC-0003, currently before Planning Committee, is recommending that the same pilot project be instituted
